about.

Commissioned by GXS Studio, I was tasked with designing two original apparel concepts for a clothing brand, created specifically for PAX 2024—an annual gaming and pop culture event held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. The project focused on visual storytelling and brand alignment, with each design tailored for screen printing. Working within the brand’s aesthetic, I developed print-ready graphics that captured the energy of the event while resonating with the brand’s target audience.

challenge.

As my first project designed specifically for screen printing, this presented a valuable technical learning curve. The artwork was limited to white ink only, which meant I had to carefully separate the black and white elements within the design file to ensure accurate output. Preparing the file for production required a precise understanding of contrast, layering, and how the design would translate when printed on fabric. This process helped strengthen my technical skills and attention to print-specific setup.

results.

The final designs were successfully printed and featured at the PAX 2024 event held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. The drop was well-received, with attendees able to get their hands on the limited-run pieces. Seeing the designs brought to life and worn by the community marked a rewarding outcome for my first screen print–ready project.
